Ninja Typing ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information is collected when you use ninjatyping.com, how it is used, and what choices you have. We do not require registration, do not sell user data, and do not build user profiles.

We do not collect any personally identifiable information. We collect anonymous usage and interaction analytics through Google Analytics (GA4) and Microsoft Clarity, which includes:

We do not collect your typing test results or the actual text you type — text entered into typing fields is masked and excluded from session recordings. All test scoring stays in your browser and is never sent to our servers.

Cookies

We use the following cookies:

  • nt-theme - stores your dark/light mode preference in localStorage. Contains no personal data.
  • Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _gid) - used to distinguish users anonymously for analytics purposes. These are set by Google.
  • Microsoft Clarity cookies (_clck, _clsk) - used to record anonymized session activity for heatmaps and session replay. These are set by Microsoft.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time. The site will continue to function normally without analytics cookies.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site in aggregate. This data helps us improve the platform. Google Analytics collects data anonymously and reports website trends without identifying individual visitors. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Microsoft Clarity

We partner with Microsoft Clarity to capture how you use and interact with our website through behavioural metrics, heatmaps, and session replay. Session replay reconstructs anonymized activity such as clicks, mouse movement, and scrolling — text you type into typing fields is masked and is not recorded. This information is used to improve the site and is processed in accordance with the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Third-Party Services

We do not share, sell, or rent your data to any third parties. The third-party services integrated on this site are Google Analytics, governed by Google's Privacy Policy, and Microsoft Clarity, governed by the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Children's Privacy

Ninja Typing does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The site contains no registration, no forms that collect personal data, and no targeted advertising.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
